Where to plant Syringa?

Syringa like full sun or light shade with a moist but well drained soil. Smaller and slow growing forms make great patio plants whilst larger shrubs and small trees make attractive feature plants in garden borders. Syringa could even be used as a flowering hedge or screen.

How to care for Syringa?

Syringa are easy plants to look after once established. Water young and pot grown plants in dry spells. A light pruning after flowering will help shape plants and a spring mulch will promote strong growth and flowers.
