Spirea Sparkling Champagne is a striking new hybrid bred by Peter Moore at Longstock Park Nursery (www.bredbypetermoore) A deciduous shrub which has copper tinged new growth in the spring and later in the year which fades to a pale golden green and in Autumn goes lovely hues of yellow, in early summer flat heads of small white flowers with prominent dark pink stamens are carried all over the plant.
Spirea Sparkling Champagne is a beautiful compact border plant. If trimmed it will re-flower again in august. Will grow in most soils (not to wet) and prefers full sun to light shade.
