Leonotis leonurus, commonly known as Lions Ear is an upright semi-evergreen deciduous shrub which is native to South Africa. It has lance shaped mid green leaves which are lightly hairy. From late summer to early winter whorls of tubular bright shocking orange flowers are produced.
Leonotis leonurus is excellent grown as a specimen in a planting arrangement or in a large patio container. Best grown in full sun and a free draining soil. This plant is not hardy and will need to be overwintered in a conservatory or greenhouse.
