Fabiana imbricata violacea is a dense mound forming shrub which originated in South America with plume like branches which are densely covered in tiny, needle like, deep green leaves. In early Summer large numbers of solitary, tubular lavender mauve flowers 1.5cm long cover the plant creating a haze of mauve..

Fabiana imbricata violacea is best grown in a poor to moderately fertile soil which is neutral to acid and free draining, prefers full sun in a position which is sheltered from cold winds
