Fuchsia hatschbachii is a rarely seen evergreen variety which originates in Brazil with thick leathery leaves and long arching stems which are semi-climbing, the prolific pendulous red flowers have fused corolla and are produced late in the year .

Fuchsia hatschbachii is best grown in full sun in a fertile soil, said to be hardy but may require some protection in cold winters.
