Plant Information

Hebe Blue Gem is a medium sized shrub with large, rounded glossy green leaves often seen growing in coastal areas. The variety is vigorous and produces a striking display of purple / blue flowers in June and July which continue in smaller numbers until Autumn. The lush green foliage makes it a useful backdrop for other plants and its long flowering period really stands out.

Hebe Blue Gem is an easy to grow variety which works well as a specimen or part of a mixed border, which is equally at home in a large patio container. In colder areas Winter protection may be needed and damage can occur to the foliage and tips.
