Plant Information

Hebe Autumn Glory is a well known variety which has been in cultivation for a long time, believed to have originated as a seedling in Ireland at the turn of the last century. In Summer the rounded leaves are dark green with a purple margin which spreads in the colder Winter months to produce a red-purple effect to the plant. From July to October prolific racemes are produced, these are stubby and rounded - the flowers are violet / purple in colour with contrasting white pollen.

Hebe Autumn Glory is a classic garden variety whose flowers enrich the Summer garden, flowering well into Autumn when many plants have stopped. Trim lightly in Spring to encourage a dense habit and vigorous shoots to flower. Hardy, but may have some tip damage in colder areas.
